Contractor Sidekick, Anyone?

Every contractor needs a metal supplier that’s got their back. Deadlines, finicky weather, and stiff competition–you know what you’re up against. A supplier that knows that too–well, you won’t trade that for anything.

Every contractor needs a metal supplier that’s got their back. Deadlines, finicky weather, and stiff competition–you know what you’re up against. A supplier that knows that too–well, you won’t trade that for anything.

That supplier is Buckeye. “I won’t do the work unless we can get the metal through Buckeye,” says Lamar Weaver, a contractor from Rocky Fork Construction in Hillsboro, OH.

Knowledge

One of the reasons Buckeye is such an excellent right-hand supplier is because of their metal knowledge. Lamar says, “At Buckeye, the employees know their product and know how we contractors like it. One reason I don’t like working with big corporations is that it’s hard to find somebody who knows what you’re talking about.”

He continues. “That’s what’s great about Buckeye–-you call in, and the person answering the phone pretty much always knows what you’re talking about. And if not, they’ll transfer you to somebody in that department.”

Bend-over-backward contractor service

Lamar also chooses Buckeye because of their outstanding service. “Contractors like to be catered to. Some companies don’t like to do that as much, but Buckeye will. If you run out of a product, they’ll do anything they can to bring it out to you the same day. That’s very huge for contractors.”

Recently, Lamar’s team installed a classy red standing seam roof on an octagon home on Ohio’s Lake White shore. Because of its eight different roof sections in a unique octagon shape, the standard roofing didn’t always hold out. “I think we had Buckeye out there eight different times bringing us stuff,” declared Lamar.

Buckeye is a true partner. “They send me a lot of good clients,” says Lamar. In the past, 50% of Rocky Fork’s customers came through Buckeye’s referrals.

Flexibility

Buckeye excels in contractor service. All the way from their pre-notched standing seam to their patented metal board and batten (Aristolath), Buckeye tailors their products for contractor convenience.

As Buckeye honed Aristolath, they listened to contractors to find out what was or wasn’t working. Today Aristolath is a beautiful, user-friendly metal product that Lamar loves to install.

Buckeye is also flexible for individual contractors. “I get most of my trim made for my metal custom because I have certain ways I like to do it. In the past, some metal companies haven’t liked doing my custom trim because they have to go out of their way slightly. Buckeye never complained about it. They always do the custom trim how I want it,” remarks Lamar.

Buckeye Recommended

Flexible and knowledgeable with a can-do spirit–that’s the supplier every contractor needs. Lamar agrees, “I push people to buy their metal from Buckeye. Because I know Buckeye will get it done right and have a very good product for them at a very nice price.”
