Getting to Know Our 5-V Crimp Panels
Often associated with farmhouses and Florida “Cracker” houses, this exposed-fastener roofing system was popular in the early 20th century and hasn’t lost its charm. The panel is named for the 5 inverted V’s that run its length.
With a longer lifespan than shingled roofs and good wind resistance, 5-V panels have proven themselves for over a century. If you have a style you’re trying to match or a design that calls for classic, these panels could be your solution.
We offer the 5-V Crimp in 8’, 10’, and 12’ lengths, and it is available standard in galvalume. It’s also available in a range of colors but those panels have a longer lead time.
The 20-year warranty on the 5-V Crimp will give two decades’ worth of a dry roof overhead.

Installing 5-V Crimp
Despite the term “crimp,” these panels are installed in a similar way as other exposed-fastener panels–no crimping is needed for installation. Once the first panel is aligned with the roof, insert screws through the face of the panel. Once one panel is in place, simply overlap the next and continue installing screws until the roof is covered. Contact us for more detailed installation requirements.
