Energy savings. Intentional gaps between the shingles and roof deck (ASV – Above Sheathing Ventilation) allows hot air to escape, creating cooler attics.
Lightweight. About one-third the weight of asphalt shingles.
Transferable 50-year warranty. A warranty that stays with the property, not just the homeowner — ensuring real value when it’s time to sell.
Simple installs. Easy bending, minimal debris, special brackets to avoid extra holes when installing solar. Cuts are easy with a roofing cutter but can be done with snips.
Tested for extremes. Class 4 and Very Severe Hail (VSH) ratings. (The VSH test includes blasting the shingles with 2” ice balls at over 100mph.) Plus, they meet Class A Fire and stringent wind criteria, including hurricane-zone requirements.
Proven durability. The strength of steel plus a stone coating means long life and excellent value, reducing callbacks and replacement risk.
Environmental benefit. Asphalt shingles take over 300 years to break down in a landfill. Metal shingles can be recycled.
