1. “Really good service. . . ”

Exceptional contractor service is one reason Tom gave for recommending Buckeye Metal Sales. Tom says, “Service is a huge deal for contractors. We need products, and we need to get them when we need them. Buckeye has salespeople who can meet our demands for the products we need in the field.”

2. “Knowledge of their products.”

It makes a contractor’s life easier when he can pick up the phone and talk to someone who will understand exactly what piece he’s describing. Tom notes that finishing out a roofing project often requires specialty trims and shapes. “It’s not all cut and dried,” Tom says. “But Buckeye can produce the trims and products you need. Their employees are knowledgeable in the field and know what I do.”

3. Their classy metal.

In the last 20 years, Tom has been observing a trend away from purely functional outbuildings to buildings with a bit more style. More porches and lean-tos and grand entrances. “People are wanting to ‘dress up’ their buildings,” Tom says. That’s where Buckeye’s premium metals come in.

Tom uses Aristolath, Buckeye’s metal board and batten, and the Buckeye Wave, Buckeye’s patented 4-rib panel, for some of his projects. “Aristolath and the ‘Wave’ give pole buildings a more residential feel,” says Tom.

Buckeye offers some of their metal profiles in a crinkle finish which prevents glare. Crinkle metal roofs are also easier to access because they’re not as slippery as other metal roofs. “We typically recommend crinkle metal for all of our house roofs,” Tom says.

4. “Good pricing.”

Their competitive pricing is the icing on the cake. “I enjoy working with them,” says Tom.
